Spending the day with Nico + Vi was seriously a dream come true for me. From the ethereal magic of the design to the storybook romance the two of them share. I literally could not dream of a more perfect day. We started the morning in the bridal suite with Vi's favorite gals- her mama, aunties, and so many family members that were special to her. The Meadows kitty even stayed with us all morning as the girls got ready. We took a donut break when hair and make up was done before getting Vi in her dress.
Then I hung out with Nico a bit where he was given a pretty special gift and made my way back to Vi for her first look with her dad, and then her first touch with Nico! This was one of my family moments of the day. You are always so nervous up to this point, but as soon as you place your hand in your partners, everything fades away. The energy in the air during this moments always makes me shed a few tears. SO so exciting!!!
It's CEREMONY TIME! This is honestly the quickest part of the day, but the most important. This is the part you have been waiting for. Marrying your person. And this one sure was special. From the hand written vows on Vi's tissue, to the sweet, personal spoken word from the officiant, to Nico's absolutely precious reaction to seeing his bride. And look at those florals- what a dang dream!!!
After the ceremony, we shot some portraits and family photos. We went frolicking through the meadow and took a snack break before reception time. We recreated some photos from their engagement session, which we also took at Meadows which was so fun. Both of their families were SO funny and I love these family photos so much over traditional portraits. It really showed everyone's personalities. They even asked for a photo with me during family photos which made my day.
Reception time!!! You can feel the huge energy shift when the couple gets introduced and it is time for the fun to begin. This checkered dance floor that Meadows provides is everything!!! These people seriously danced the night away. I think they were just getting started when I said my goodbyes for the night. Even the grandmas partied hard.
Those parent dances really got me. So much emotion. But we quickly got back to the fun.
This was seriously the best day with the best people. It truly helps everyone when you have such an incredible team of vendors, too. Congratulations to the Visbals, it was an honor to spend the day with you!
